Parquet has a long history, which we discussed in a previous post<\/a><\/strong>, where wooden coverings have been used since ancient times to protect environments from the effects of climate and humidity, or from the presence of parasites and insects.
\nThe boards have therefore found space both on the ground, as flooring<\/strong> indeed, and on the walls, where their use can create fascinating aesthetic effects<\/strong>, in combination with other wooden elements, but also with tiles<\/a> <\/strong>and decorative inserts in stone or brick.<\/p>\n

Call it, if you like, boiserie<\/h2>\n

Wooden wall cladding can also be referred to as boiserie<\/a> <\/strong>derived from the French “bois” meaning “wood”<\/strong>.
\nIt can cover the entire surface or just part of it, and be elegantly positioned, for example, as a headboard or behind a sofa<\/strong>. Furthermore, it can be applied to the ceiling, contributing to giving rooms a decidedly rustic touch and a sense of enveloping warmth. <\/p>\n

Parquet, wooden wall cladding and\u2026Choose your combination<\/h2>\n

In combination with different materials \u2013 ceramic or terracotta, stone or cement \u2013 wooden wall cladding allows you to play with contrasts<\/strong> and give rooms a more modern, certainly original look. We mentioned home, but in reality, the versatility of the material and the wide range of choices make the combination of floor parquet and wall parquet<\/strong> suitable for offices as well.
\nThe secret lies in playing with combinations<\/strong>, pairing floors with extra-matte finishes like oak, teak, and walnut from the Dream<\/strong><\/a> collection with white or light-toned boards, such as gray or taupe. <\/p>\n

Vertically or horizontally: find your parquet effect<\/h2>\n

And as always, much of the visual impact depends on the layout and orientation<\/strong> you choose for your parquet and, in particular, for your wall cladding during installation.
\nIt is clear that vertically oriented boards<\/strong> enhance the height<\/strong> characteristics of the spaces; laid horizontally they enhance the width<\/strong> or ensure an impression of greater spaciousness.
\nFinally, while dark color variations, even on walls, are almost synonymous with a classic and austere, warm and welcoming style, lighter ones like oak and, particularly, Woodco’s Signature<\/a> <\/strong>walnut can be successfully applied to both modern and rustic and country<\/em> interiors.<\/p>\n
